We are seeking candidates who have either GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Maths (or equivalent) or an IT-related qualification (e.g., BTEC, NVQ, CompTIA A+). While this is desirable, it is not essential. We welcome school or college leavers who have a keen interest in starting a career in the IT industry.
Responsibilities
As a Trainee Technical Support Engineer, your duties will include:
- Providing technical support to both internal and external customers through various communication channels.
- Establishing and diagnosing ICT problems and faults using required troubleshooting methodologies and tools.
- Communicating with stakeholders at all levels, guiding them through the steps needed to resolve issues or set up systems, while keeping them informed of progress and managing expectations.
- Learning to use diagnostic tools and remote access software to investigate faults.
- Assisting in testing and configuring systems, applications, and equipment.
- Supporting the rollout of upgrades or new systems and applications.
- Maintaining accurate records of issues, resolutions, and system changes.
- Contributing to the internal knowledge base by documenting common fixes.
- Participating in structured product and technical training sessions, along with shadowing opportunities.
Description

Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and you will be working at our Halesowen site.
