Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a candidate with experience in IT technical support, preferably with a background in troubleshooting 1st or 2nd line level enquiries.
- You should have working knowledge of O365, Windows 10, and server environments (2016/2019), along with exposure to firewall security.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective collaboration skills are essential, particularly in working closely with our IT manager based in Burton.
- Experience with networking systems including routers, switches, WiFi backups, and VOIP systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CISCO networking, as well as DNS and DHCP knowledge, would be advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and access to a car are required as this position is onsite five days a week.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for supporting our technical estate, which includes desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, touchscreens, and internal telephone systems.
- I expect you to manage service desk tickets through our JIRA system, ensuring that requests are responded to within agreed SLAs.
- You will play a vital role in bringing a fully functional IT specialist team in-house and providing technical support across our three core sites in Glasgow, Scunthorpe, and Burton.
- You'll gain valuable experience working with core networking systems, enhancing both your skills and our team's capabilities.
