Requirements
Must:
- C# and .NET Core experience with a solid understanding of backend development principles
- Proficiency in microservices and event-driven architectures as well as RESTful APIs
- Experience with Azure cloud services including Azure Entra & AppInsights and general authentication/authorization practices
- Familiarity with containerization, automation, and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices including Infrastructure As Code (IaC) and observability techniques
- Test-first mindset with the ability to guide other engineers on unit/integration testing, end-to-end (E2E) testing, and contract testing using libraries and frameworks such as XUnit, Playwright, and PACT
- Understanding of lean software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage cutting-edge cloud-based software platforms
- Develop and integrate microservices and event-driven systems with RESTful APIs
- Implement Azure cloud services and ensure proper authentication and authorization practices
- Utilize containerization and orchestration tools to streamline deployments
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines while applying modern DevOps practices
- Advocate for a test-first approach and mentor engineers on best practices in testing
- Employ lean methodologies to enhance software development processes
Description
We are a leading tech company, seeking to recruit a Principal Software Engineer. This is a hybrid role based in Warwickshire, with the flexibility to work remotely and only requiring a couple of days in the office each month. We offer competitive day rates ranging from £550 to £650 per day inside IR35. You will be part of a dynamic team, focused on developing innovative cloud-based solutions.
