Requirements
Must:
- Significant penetration testing experience applied across complex, high-risk environments to identify and exploit vulnerabilities that could impact operational systems.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Active Directory and ability to leverage this to design realistic attack paths and lateral-movement scenarios.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and use of automation to increase depth and efficiency of testing.
- Experience across Web Apps, Infrastructure, Cloud, Mobile, Code Review, Breach Simulation, and ICS, with ability to select and adapt appropriate techniques.
- Ability to apply web-app security knowledge to identify business-logic flaws and chain vulnerabilities to demonstrate real-world impact.
- Experienced in security tools with capability to create bespoke tooling or exploits where required.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills enabling translation of complex vulnerabilities into actionable remediation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Recognised certifications such as CREST or OSCP.
Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing in hybrid environments to uncover vulnerabilities and ensure the security of systems.
- Design and implement realistic attack scenarios using knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Active Directory.
- Develop and execute automated testing scripts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of penetration tests.
- Assess security across various platforms including Web Apps, Infrastructure, and Cloud to identify potential threats.
- Provide detailed reports on findings, translating technical details into comprehensible action items for diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams to develop customized security tools or exploits as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and testing techniques to ensure best practices are followed.
Description
We are one of the leading firms in the cybersecurity sector, currently seeking to expand our team with a skilled Penetration Tester. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, with approximately one day a week in our Warwickshire office.
