Lead IT Support Engineer

- I will manage and maintain all IT systems to ensure that teachers, students, and staff can use technology safely, securely, reliably, and productively. - I will ensure that all IT services (both local and remote) and devices necessary for the day-to-day running of the school are available and functioning well. - I will ensure all IT users have secure and appropriate access to IT systems. - I will make certain that all data is backed up according to the school’s requirements. - I will oversee the safe use of IT by students. - I will proactively maintain the school’s IT network, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective solutions. - I will manage and resolve all support tickets promptly, prioritizing in-person support. - If necessary, I will escalate technical issues to third parties while always seeking quick and permanent resolutions. - I will oversee the development, installation, configuration, security, and administration of users and devices. - I will keep the school’s IT asset register and documentation updated for all IT systems. - I will carry out routine maintenance of classroom IT, conducting regular checks on equipment to prevent disruptions to teaching and learning. - I will monitor IT systems and the network for viruses, malfunctions, and errors. - I will collaborate closely with the safeguarding team to ensure that harmful content is not accessible on any IT platform.
