Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience supporting Linux (Debian preferred) in production.
- Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python) and automation.
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls).
- Experience managing databases and cloud-hosted services.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with excellent communication.
- Desirable experience with AWS cloud environments (VPC, EC2, Route 53).
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus).
- Knowledge of VoIP/SIP technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, or configuration management.
- Background in supporting high-availability or large-scale infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimise Debian-based Linux servers in production.
- Develop automation scripts (Bash, Python) to streamline tasks.
- Manage networking components (DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
- Support database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and AWS RDS.
- Monitor system performance and respond to incidents.
- Implement security best practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Participate in on-call rotations and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure resilient and efficient systems.
