Requirements

Must:
You should have at least 6 years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on automation. We are looking for candidates who have varied experience within DevOps, encompassing infrastructure, network, and databases—not just CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, is essential. A security-focused mindset regarding workflows and applications operating on AWS is also important. You should be a hands-on technologist who values action and minimal meetings, and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, I will expect you to take on a hands-on, technical role while collaborating with the senior leadership team to define and execute the DevOps strategy. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and managing efficient CI/CD pipelines for smooth code integration, automated testing, and deployment. - Building and maintaining scalable, resilient infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform to promote automation and standardization. - Developing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure primarily on AWS while ensuring optimal system performance, security, and scalability. - Writing and maintaining scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency. - Implementing security best practices, monitoring tools, and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines for compliance and integrity. - Collaborating with development, product, and support teams to streamline workflows and mentoring junior engineers in DevOps principles. - Identifying and resolving issues in cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployed applications to maintain system reliability. - Regularly reviewing and refining DevOps processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support agile methodologies.
