Requirements
Must:
- Advanced Figma skills are essential, including prototyping, component libraries, and system design.
- Proven experience in UX/Product Design, specifically working with micro frontends and single-page web applications.
- Demonstrated ability to design for dense, data-rich interfaces.
- A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality UX and UI work across complex digital products; please include your portfolio along with your CV submission.
- Ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and present design solutions with clarity and rationale.
- Comfortable working independently within a cross-functional team across multiple time zones.
- Solid understanding of UX best practices, usability principles, and responsive design.
Responsibilities
- Focus on UX and product design across a variety of digital touchpoints.
- Facilitate and contribute to requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders.
- Translate business and user needs into clear, usable, and elegant design solutions.
- Create detailed user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interaction specifications.
- Work within and contribute to an evolving design system.
- Collaborate closely with visual designers, developers, business analysts, and content teams.
- Drive an agile, user-centered design process by incorporating user research, feedback, and analytics.
Description
MCS Group is looking for a talented and experienced Product/UX Designer to join our client's digital experience team on a contract basis. In this hybrid role, you will work on-site in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with the UX team three days per week. If you are a hands-on, solutions-driven designer with a strong eye for detail and a user-first mindset, we encourage you to apply! This position is expected to last until the end of 2025, with the potential for extension. The rate is highly competitive. All conversations will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
