Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with a strong technical background in cloud engineering and/or systems engineering, along with recent management and/or leadership experience. You should have deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including subscriptions, services, networking, and identity management. Proven experience in managing and optimising cloud environments is essential, as well as skills in Terraform, CI/CD, automation, scripting (PowerShell/Bash), and monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
In the role of Lead Cloud Engineer, you will fulfil a technical leadership position, initially serving as a player-coach. Your primary focus will be on overseeing cloud infrastructure, predominantly within Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and cost-efficiency. You will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of cloud operations engineers and coordinate with various departments, including DevOps, Security, and Development, to enable seamless cloud operations throughout our global business. Your involvement will encompass cloud infrastructure management, cloud service deployment and maintenance, security and compliance, performance monitoring, and cost control.
Description
We are thrilled to be working with a new entrant to the local market, creating a centre of excellence for Cloud, Data, and Security practices here in Belfast. The salary for this position can go up to £85,000 and includes a fantastic benefits package, featuring a 10% employer contribution pension, up to a 20% bonus, generous annual leave, and the option to purchase additional leave. You will enjoy the flexibility of working from home too.
