Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA/Firepower)/n- Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT/n- Experience with VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access)/n- Proven background in network security and firewall policy management/n- Experience working in a consultancy or multi-client environment/n- Firewall or network security certifications (e.g. PCNSE, NSE4, CCNP Security) (desirable)/n- Exposure to cloud networking and cloud-native firewalls (Azure/AWS) (desirable)/n- Experience with IDS/IPS, web filtering, or zero-trust security concepts (desirable)/n- Experience with network monitoring and logging tools (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise-grade firewall solutions across client environments/n- Manage firewall configuration, rule reviews, policy optimisation, and upgrades/n- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues across LAN, WAN, and VPN environments/n- Lead and support firewall migrations, upgrades, and security hardening projects/n- Work closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions/n- Provide 3rd-line support and act as a technical escalation point/n- Produce clear technical documentation and network diagrams/n- Contribute to security best practice, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives

We are a well-established local IT consultancy based in Belfast City Centre, continuing to grow our network and security practice. We offer a hybrid working model with a competitive salary between £50k - £60k, depending on experience.
