Requirements
Must:
- Working towards a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant Engineering field (including Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mathematics, Physics).
- British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Engage in a 10-week placement starting in June 2026, allowing you to apply your university learning to real-world projects and technologies.
- Work on high integrity software for weapon systems and mission planning solutions within a complex battlespace arena.
- Participate in software development lifecycle activities, gaining exposure to both embedded and front-end software development on various platforms, such as Windows and Linux.
- Utilize programming languages, primarily C and C++, with potential opportunities to work with ADA, C#, and Python depending on the team requirements.
- Understand the importance of functional and technical robustness in project deliverables and the value of technical documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to gain a comprehensive overview of the business.
