Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for someone to lead the delivery of multiple concurrent projects, developing physical modeling of the real world in small multi-disciplinary teams responsible for software development, systems engineering, and delivery.
- You will need excellent systems engineering and project management skills.
- A strong background in one or more of the applicable technical disciplines: physics, software development, modeling, gaming engine development, and an appreciation of all of these is essential.
- An affinity with lean/agile methods and software development tools; version control, task management, continuous integration, etc., is required.
- In addition to the technical aspects of the role, I value the ability to be adaptable, create different features and effects, and be creative to work around problems, finding innovative solutions to keep us on track.
- A commitment to integrity in delivering on time, as well as to cost and quality, is highly desirable. Experience in, or a good appreciation of, task package management is also important.
- I seek someone who values strong team spirit and communication skills, as you will work across different projects and departments.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for developing real-world simulations and modeling tools that are a critical part of our product development.
- Our team supports a range of scene generation activities, from synthetic modeling of real-world objects and the Earth's surface, to hardware testing and validation via experimentation and field trials.
- I want you to broaden and evolve our toolset and continue to deliver an industry-leading capability ready for future program needs.
- You will be involved in delivering current programs and shaping the team's future while working closely with customers and suppliers to enhance our next-generation EO and multi-sensor missile seekers and weapon system sensors.

- We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Electro-Optical Seekers & Sensors Department within our Scene Generation Team, working as a Scene Generation Modelling Engineer. - The salary ranges from £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, with dynamic hybrid working (3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification). - As a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship, you will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks after the offer stage, which are managed by our Personnel Security Team. - We offer a company bonus of up to £2,500 based on performance, a maximum total pension contribution of up to 14%, opportunities for paid overtime, and up to 15 additional days of flexible leave. - Enhanced parental leave of up to 26 weeks is available, alongside fantastic site facilities including subsidised meals and free parking. - At MBDA, we pride ourselves on supporting the Armed Forces and the unique contributions of each employee through our diverse networks.
