Requirements
Must:
- I prefer candidates with a degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- I am looking for individuals with demonstrable hands-on experience that showcases senior-level technical capability in infrastructure support and systems administration.
- A strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise technologies, networking fundamentals, and IT security principles is essential.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher, CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent, Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware Certified Professional (VCP), SAN/Storage vendor certifications (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE, NetApp), and ITIL Foundation (v4 preferred).
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to maintain, support, and enhance our server environment to ensure high availability and performance.
- You will manage and support our Active Directory infrastructure, ensuring effective access control and system integrity.
- Your role will include administering and maintaining servers, ensuring performance tuning, patching, and backup reliability.
- Security and compliance are crucial, so you will ensure our network and systems align with recognized standards and industry best practices.
- You will monitor network performance and provide expert analysis, guidance, and recommendations on security risks and improvements.
- You will design, plan, and implement improvements to our IT systems from concept through to rollout, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Technical leadership and mentoring to Junior IT Engineers will also be a part of your responsibilities.
- I need you to provide first and second line support cover when required due to staff absence or workload peaks.
- Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation will be key to your role.

- I am looking for a proactive, hands-on professional who can ensure optimal performance across servers, networks, and systems, while providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team members. - The position is full-time, with a pay starting from £40,000.00 per year, and several benefits such as a canteen, employee discounts, health and wellbeing programs, and options for remote work. - It will be important for you to provide out-of-hours support when required, as our company operates a 24/7 service and may need occasional emergency assistance outside standard working hours. - I need someone who has extensive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network engineering roles within a complex, multi-site environment, especially in managing Windows Server environments and virtualized environments using Microsoft Hyper-V. - A strong background in implementing and maintaining network and security controls, as well as experience with data integrity and availability, will be essential in this role.
