Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in C++/C# development
- 2 years experience in a programming language
- Educational background in STEM
- Good understanding of computing fundamentals (e.g. logic, data structures)
- Strong software design skills, including Object-Oriented Programming
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git/SVN
- Competent in Visual Studio & MS Office Products
- Must be eligible to work and live in the UK
- Must be eligible to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government Developed Vetting security clearance
- Knowledge of Red Hat Linux or other Unix-based operating systems (desirable)
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Design and engineering algorithms (desirable)
- Experience in an Agile environment (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of mission-critical simulation software
- Work in both Windows and Red Hat Linux environments
- Comprehend requirement/document changes and analyse the scope of change required for work items
- Design, develop and maintain existing code solutions
- Test and review software applications and associated documentation
- Contribute to meetings and work groups, providing domain knowledge and expertise on technical matters
- Collaborate within a team environment and communicate effectively
- Suggest improvements for continuous improvement
