Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in operational analysis, systems analysis, or modeling/simulation. You should possess strong C# programming skills and experience with Visual Studio/Windows development tools. Knowledge of RF, scene generation, countermeasure, and flyout simulation tools is essential, ideally gained within a defense setting. Expertise in radar systems, along with a background in physics, engineering, math, or operational analysis is required. Clear communication skills to explain and adapt models are essential. Additional supporting skills include RF system knowledge or broader systems engineering experience, proficiency in MATLAB or Python for data analysis and visualization, and familiarity with defense or air platform protection systems and threat systems (e.g., SAMs, IADS, Sensors, FPVs).

Responsibilities

As an Operational Analyst, you will support cutting-edge research, development, and delivery projects within our Electronic Warfare Operations Support (EWOS) team. Your responsibilities will include developing toolsets, models, and integration activities in our in-house simulation environment (ITASE). You will devise, specify, and run complex studies to assess Air Platform Protection (APP) in Integrated Air Defence System (IADS) environments. Your role will also involve scenario setup, simulation, verification/validation, and analysis, incorporating or adapting existing Dstl data/models (e.g., signatures) into studies.
