Requirements
Must:
As a candidate for the MES Engineer position at our Banbury plant, you should have proven experience with MES platforms such as Apriso, InSequence, Nysus, or Solidat. A strong knowledge of PLCs, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, hardware, databases, and development languages is essential. Expertise in scripting (for example, SQL), report/dashboard creation, and database query development is also required. Additionally, a solid understanding of PLC-MES-ERP integration will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
In your role, you will lead the management and evolution of our Manufacturing Execution Systems. You will plan, implement, and support MES software solutions, collaborating cross-functionally to optimize production efficiency and quality. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining, supporting, and upgrading MES systems across the plant, designing robust PLC-MES interfaces in collaboration with production, process, and automation teams, and defining MES standards and specifications to streamline systems and support new lines and products. You will also manage Engineering Change processes, including labeling and tagging for new part numbers, and monitor batch and sequenced assembly lines to enable real-time decision-making that minimizes scrap and mismatches.
