Requirements
Must:
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or extensive knowledge of Checkpoint and Cisco Firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers and associated management software (CSM, Checkpoint Smart Console)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security or a related field
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and related network devices
- Expertise in security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation, and security
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-informed security decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of ITIL methodologies and best practices
- LAN/WAN (Cisco CCNA) or 5 years experience
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for network security infrastructure
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues that may involve multiple systems and layers of infrastructure
- Perform system maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
- Be involved in the planning, design, and implementation of network security measures to protect systems and data
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
- Deploy and maintain network security devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs
- Support the resolution of network security incidents, including conducting post-event analyses to prevent future incidents
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, as well as advancements in network security technologies
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for network access, monitoring, and security incident response
