Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in Server Virtualization, specifically with Hyper-V and Clustered Storage.
- Strong knowledge of Servers/Storage Hardware (Dell, HP, SuperMicro).
- Experience in Windows Server Support covering a full range of roles and features.
- Familiarity with backup solutions such as Veeam, Symantec, and Datto.
- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP, IP, DNS, DHCP) and network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and enthusiasm for helping users.
- Confident communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Sound organizational abilities with the capability to prioritize tasks.
- Commitment to meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding response and resolution times.
- Willingness to pursue relevant qualifications and accreditations.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to external clients, including senior-level support.
- Act as an escalation point for 1st line and 2nd line service desk engineers when necessary.
- Contribute proactively to projects and implementation, which involves liaising with clients and colleagues.
- Troubleshoot technical problems through telephone support, remote access, and on-site visits.
- Mentor technical colleagues both on an ad hoc basis and through planned sessions.
- Engage in server, storage, and network builds, including configuration and installation.
- Maintain diligent documentation and effective time-keeping.
