Requirements
Must:
- Deep hands-on experience building Python-based services, ideally in a microservices architecture
- Strong focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience designing and developing new APIs
- Knowledge in maintaining and improving existing services
- Ability to fix complex bugs and propose robust engineering solutions for web and mobile applications
- Experience working in an agile, iterative environment
- Familiarity with tools such as Python, AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway), Docker, Jira, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, PyCharm, Grafana, Postman
Responsibilities
- Design and write high-quality Python code for scalable, secure, and high-performance systems
- Collaborate within a product-focused engineering team to shape and deliver cloud-native services
- Act as a technical mentor, guiding and coaching team engineers
- Foster a culture of continual learning and technical excellence
- Work end-to-end across the software development lifecycle including solution design and architecture
- Participate in development, deployment, and optimization within a modern AWS-based environment
- Potentially participate in on-call working on a rota basis (24/7)
