Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Strong expertise in Oracle administration, performance tuning, and automation
- Experience with cloud-native deployments on Azure and AWS
- Proficient in database installation, configuration, and management on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Knowledge of RMAN backups, Data Pump operations, and disaster recovery strategies
- Familiarity with security protocols, compliance controls, and patch management
- Ability to monitor and analyse database performance using various tools
- Competence in scripting and automating DBA tasks using Shell scripts
- Excellent troubleshooting skills related to I/O, memory, CPU, and network
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or cloud certifications (Azure, AWS) are preferred
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database software on RHEL systems
- Manage database storage structures including tablespaces and data files
- Support cloud database deployments in Azure and AWS
- Administer users, roles, privileges, and authentication for security
- Implement encryption and compliance controls across environments
- Monitor performance using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and OEM tools
- Tune SQL and manage memory, CPU, and I/O performance
- Perform RMAN backups and validate disaster recovery readiness
- Automate DBA tasks using Shell scripts and cron jobs
- Troubleshoot complex performance issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO, and maintain relevant documentation
