Requirements
Must:
- Deep experience across relational and non-relational platforms (MariaDB, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of how to define and implement database strategy
- Expertise in HA, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, and IaC (Ansible, Terraform)
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, and roadmap for the database estate
- Define standards and drive technical decisions for database operations
- Guide a developing team, coaching them to work collaboratively
- Make architectural decisions ensuring environments are secure and scalable
- Oversee infrastructure, automation, and reliability engineering with a focus on CI/CD
- Lead the evolution of database operations toward modern DevOps practices
