Requirements
Must:
- ITIL Foundation certification (Intermediate level desirable).
- Strong experience in IT Asset and Configuration Management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including CMDB and ideally the CSDM framework.
- Knowledge of SACM processes and ITIL best practices.
- Experience with hardware/software asset management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement processes for Asset and Configuration Management.
- Maintain and audit the CMDB to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support hardware and software asset management.
- Collaborate with Service Management teams to integrate new services.
- Facilitate workshops and document policies and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
- Work on BAU and development programmes, including integration projects.
Description
We are seeking a Technical Specialist to take ownership of IT Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) within our Shared Service team. In this hands-on role, you will ensure the integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) while driving process improvements using ITIL best practices. You will work strategically across IT teams to maintain accurate data, support service improvements, and deliver integration projects. This position is a 6-month contract based in Coventry, requiring 2 days per week in the office, with a pay rate of £450 per day inside IR35.
