Requirements
Must:
We are primarily looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in Azure security and networking, along with orchestration and migration experience. It would be beneficial to have skills related to Azure Data Factory (ADF) and hands-on experience in integrating data resources that support data flows. Additionally, you should have:
- Experience operating platforms in a controlled environment with strict change control.
- Experience managing and working with Kubernetes environments and observability tools.
- Familiarity with Azure monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- A preference for working as part of a team rather than individually.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure and the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
- Microsoft Azure administration skills or certification.
- Windows and Linux administration skills.
- Experience with automation scripting, such as Terraform.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and technical backlog of our Azure platform, which hosts various applications. While you won't be directly responsible for the operations of applications or data on the platform, you will manage the ‘cloud platform’ components of several solutions, providing strategic guidance and fostering team growth. Your responsibilities include:
- Bringing your IT operations experience to manage systems within strict change controls.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders from both business and technology, necessitating strong communication skills.
- Championing continuous delivery in software engineering by utilizing DevOps practices and your industry knowledge.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer for an initial 6-month contract with a high-profile public sector client. This is a hybrid role with occasional office requirements as needed. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing certain platform features, such as deploying golden images and overseeing subscriptions or Kubernetes upgrades.
