Application Support Engineer (SQL) - Stockbridge

Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record in the Application Support or 1st Line Support domains, particularly in customer-facing scenarios. You should possess strong hands-on skills in SQL or Azure SQL to effectively query databases and troubleshoot backend issues. Additionally, familiarity with Active Directory/Entra ID (AzureAD) is essential. You must also be capable of supporting users/customers remotely. Ideally, you have a good grasp of relevant methodologies and processes such as ITIL or Change Management.
Responsibilities
As an Application Support Engineer, I expect you to take charge of Application Support tasks. Your role will involve tackling support requests, prioritizing them, and escalating tickets to the 2nd Line or beyond as necessary. You will liaison with a multidisciplinary team, including DevOps and Infrastructure, to ensure smooth operations. Furthermore, you will create and manage user accounts within our core application and support portal. It's important to maintain and monitor remote client servers for stability. You will also be expected to share knowledge and work collaboratively to resolve and prevent issues. Contributing to relevant projects, supporting configuration and change deployments, and promoting best practices while ensuring adherence to agreed procedures will be part of your responsibilities. We encourage you to bring new ideas to enhance our processes and workflows.
