Application Support Engineer (SQL) - Glasgow

Requirements
Must:
- Proven hands-on skills with SQL
- Experience in Application Support / 1st Line Support roles
- Strong customer-facing support experience
- Proficiency in Azure SQL for querying databases and troubleshooting backend issues
- Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD) skills
- Ability to support users/customers remotely
- Knowledge of relevant methodologies such as ITIL/Change Management
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of Application Support tasks
- Handle support requests, prioritizing and escalating tickets as needed
- Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and other teams to ensure smooth operations
- Manage user accounts within the core application and support portal
- Monitor and maintain remote client servers for stability
- Share knowledge and work with colleagues to resolve and prevent issues
- Participate in projects supporting configuration/change deployments and foster best practices
- Contribute ideas for improving processes and workflows
