Responsibilities
- As an IT Services Technician, I will act as a friendly first point of contact for both students and staff.
- I will assist in the configuration, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the College's IT hardware, software, and networks.
- My role will include providing cross-college technical support for hardware and software, ensuring excellent service to students and staff.
- I will support desktop and laptop users in both Windows and Apple Mac environments, as well as manage printing, audio-visual equipment, BYOD, and telephones.

Starting in August 2025, I will be joining a thriving, successful post-16 Sixth Form College with 2,600 students enrolled in a variety of studies. Located conveniently near the M11 and A14, our college is situated in the beautiful, expanding Bio/Technical city of Cambridge, next to the Biomedical Campus. Long Road has been rated as Good in all five categories by OFSTED, and we are working towards becoming an Outstanding College. Our staff share a passion for teaching and learning and support each other in recognizing one another's strengths. The IT Services department is known for providing practical technical assistance to meet all technical requirements of our college community.
