Requirements
Must:
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
- Strategic experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), hybrid hosting, and modern architectures
- Strong background in API design, microservices, modular applications, and data strategies
- Proven ability to set architectural vision and influence at senior levels
- Experience leading and mentoring architecture teams
- Strong track record of driving technology strategy and transformation
- Bonus: Deep industry insight into banking or financial services, with an understanding of regulatory and market dynamics
- Bonus: Expertise in resilience and continuity, including disaster recovery and business/service continuity planning
- Bonus: Payments experience, covering modern payment platforms, schemes, and integration strategies
- Bonus: Strong data capabilities, particularly in data architecture and ETL processes
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and delivery of technology strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders and the Architecture Lead.
- Set and maintain architecture roadmaps, guardrails, and patterns, ensuring alignment with business and technology goals.
- Provide strategic oversight and governance for major transformation initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a team of architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Represent architecture in executive forums, influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across business, engineering, and technology teams.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing innovative thinking to the organisation.
- Champion agile ways of working and support iterative delivery.
