Requirements
Must:
- Candidates must have a background in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or similar).
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA, and DCS systems is essential.
- Applicants must be UK passport holders and born in the UK.
- The vetting process will include a 5-year referencing check and a drug screen.
Responsibilities
- I will develop innovative, high-quality software for leading UK defence projects.
- Utilizing a variety of tools and programming languages, I will contribute across the full software lifecycle as part of a collaborative team.
- I will support junior team members and lead in review and assurance activities.
- I will design, implement, test, and deploy control system solutions.
Description
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers with strong PLC and SCADA expertise to support cutting-edge defence technology development in Motherwell, Lanarkshire. Youll join a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality software solutions in line with recognised industry standards. This is a 6-month contract position, likely to be extended up to 23 months maximum, with a work schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate ranges from £45 to £60 per hour (PAYE only).
