Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in C++ application development.
- A solid background in software engineering, including its realization and system-wide impact.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Docker.
- Experience in developing software for virtual environments.
- Knowledge of safety and security-related development and associated standards is advantageous.
- Understanding of Data Distribution Service (DDS) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test complex C++ business logic.
- Collaborate with internal algorithm teams to create code for executing algorithms, implementing complex transformation logic, and conducting verification.
- Engage in several iterations using a CI/CD approach.
- Implement interfaces for both internal and external systems.
- Extend existing software to create components that will operate in a virtual environment, supporting software deployment.
Description
We are seeking to recruit a Software Engineer for a 12-month contract with a pay of £65 per hour via Umbrella. You will join a team focused on implementing a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability, building upon existing concepts and logic. If the demonstration is successful, it may evolve into a development project for a fully operational capability. This position is based in Bristol, operates inside IR35, and requires SC security clearance to start.
