Operational Technology IT Specialist

I require candidates to have experience working within an IT services and support environment, ideally in a manufacturing operational setting. Previous experience in an industrial environment supporting or maintaining Information Technology/Systems is preferred but not mandatory; examples include Numerical Control, SCADA, or HMI systems. A solid understanding of Cyber Security practices in an industrial context is essential, including the ability to critically assess the physical and digital security of assets at first level. You should have experience with the installation of security software and system patches, especially within industrial contexts. Additionally, familiarity with software and database backup processes, as well as restoring those backups in industrial assets, would be desirable. I also seek an understanding of networking infrastructure and the ability to plan and schedule for maintenance and license management. Effective management of IT documentation is crucial. Experience in leading or participating in IT projects with a basic understanding of project management is important. Candidates should have a good understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems, including legacy systems. Knowledge of the Google Workspace environment is a plus, but not required. Strong communication skills are needed to effectively interact with both IT professionals and end users.
