Requirements
Must:
- Solid experience in design, particularly using UML
- Development experience, particularly with Java technologies
- Experience working with microservices
- Proficient in automated testing practices
- Good knowledge of Java Core (version 8+)
- Familiarity with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Knowledge of developing RESTful web services
- Experience with distributed systems
- Understanding of software design patterns
- Familiarity with Agile Development Processes
- Knowledge of CI/CD delivery techniques
- Experience with source code management (using GIT)
- Proficient in using issue tracking systems (such as Jira)
- Experience with UML/SysML (using Enterprise Architect or similar)
- Ability to self-motivate and work well in a team environment
- Ability to promote innovation in self and others
- Confident in interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Develop code within an agile environment (scrum)
- Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and test features for new product development
- Estimate tasks in accordance with sprint planning
Description
We are seeking a Java Software Developer for an initial 12-month contract based in Portsmouth. We offer a competitive pay rate of £55 per hour via Umbrella. Our team focuses on innovation and collaboration within an agile environment, and we require candidates to have security clearance upon submission.
