Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of multiple SOC tooling, including IDPS, Firewalls, SIEM, Splunk, Email, and Web Protection.
- Experience in implementing and troubleshooting Firewall technologies such as Cisco ASR, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
- Excellent understanding of network technologies.
- Proficient in scripting and programming.
- Experience with Windows and RedHat server systems, including the implementation of CIS hardening.
- DV Clearance required upon submission.
Responsibilities
- Support SOC Engineers and Analyst activities.
- Manage change and release management activities.
- Review and escalate toolset availability and capacity management.
- Stay current with security concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Engage with the R&D Cyber Defence Centre for Airbus Cyber Solutions/Products.
- Mentor and oversee members of the SOC Engineering team, ensuring operational tasks are completed and work tickets updated/closed on time.
Description
We are seeking to recruit a Cyber Security Operations Lead for an initial 6-month contract, located in Newport. This role entails overseeing the transition of projects from the System Design team into SOC operations, ensuring that impact analysis, capacity, and availability management are addressed prior to accepting new projects. The contract is structured for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an hourly pay rate of up to £90 via umbrella. Please note that this position falls under IR35 status.
