Requirements

Must:
- Entry-level understanding of legacy and current IT operating systems - IT Service Desk experience in either Triage or 1st Line roles - Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems, SLAs, telephone support queue, and ticket handling - Experience supporting both deskside and remote users - Knowledge of network cabling and troubleshooting - A driven individual with a 'can-do' attitude, willing to go the extra mile - Strong customer and team focus - Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure - Outstanding communication skills at all levels, both written and face-to-face - Ability to work as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently

Responsibilities

As a 1st Line Service Desk Technician, I will: - Serve as the central point of contact for all IT-related incidents and service requests - Log and respond to incidents and service requests, ensuring that service levels and targets are met - Provide first-line support for deskside and remote colleagues, as well as site visitors - Support colleagues in operating various hardware, such as printers, scanners, and external peripherals - Track and manage assigned tickets in the central ticketing system (Jira), escalating to a 2nd Line Technician when necessary - Identify areas for improvement and create Knowledge Base (KB) articles - Deliver inductions and basic training in the use of IT facilities and services - Manage issued or loaned IT equipment, including imaging and configuration - Handle management of Active Directory, Exchange/365, Windows 10/11, and Office 365 - Participate in an On-Call rota for outside of normal business hours
