Requirements
Must:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in multiple aspects of Software Engineering, particularly in enterprise scale, cloud native solutions
- Knowledge and exposure to modern software and cloud architectures
- Extensive experience in cloud computing
- Minimum of three years experience in a technical leadership role in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment
- Experience in architecting complex, scalable solutions using multiple technologies
- Good knowledge of the Well-Architected Framework
- Experience working in partnership with business stakeholders to define technology strategies
- Extensive leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience
- Demonstrable experience designing and building AI-based solutions at scale
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, frameworks, and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experienced with MLOps, data engineering, or deployment of ML/AI models in a commercial environment
- Understanding of data governance, ethical AI, model explainability, and privacy concerns
- Familiarity with experiment tracking tools and automated ML workflows
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the technology strategy and roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders
- Research trends and apply beneficial practices to the business
- Influence infrastructure and software product standards
- Consult and collaborate with technology leaders and business partners
- Build consensus between various groups and stakeholders
- Align technical design and strategy with the product roadmap
- Provide consultation regarding business requirements to Senior Leadership
- Recommend innovations anticipating future business needs
- Partner with leadership to secure opportunities aligned with technology strategy
- Define and implement AI/ML strategies and guidance
- Design and develop architectures and scalable solutions
- Work with software development teams to establish engineering standards
- Provide technical management and drive development of large, complex systems
- Actively design, code and test while delivering solutions
- Investigate and prototype complex solutions to validate new technologies
- Guide teams in the adoption of AI/ML best practices
- Mentor Engineers and share knowledge to help teams grow
- Identify and develop new technical capabilities based on business needs
- Support technical teams and promote best practices
- Champion and drive the adoption of AI across teams
- Participate in communities across Liberty IT and Liberty Mutual
