Must:
We are looking for a candidate with experience in requirements management and associated software, preferably DOORS. You should have a background in software architecture within a real-time, safety-related system, or a mission-critical environment. A comprehensive understanding of the complete system life cycle from problem definition to deployment is essential. Experience with adherence to processes in a software development environment is required, and the ability to work as part of a multi-functional product team encompassing Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Test, and Engineering Management is vital. We value an enthusiastic self-starter who pays attention to detail and possesses strong verbal communication skills. Excellent written communication through various mediums such as email, presentations, and reports is also necessary. Familiarity with different software development methodologies and the capability to work while adhering to schedule and cost constraints will contribute to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer, you will support the development of our award-winning Air Traffic Management (ATM) system, playing a crucial role in enhancing the tools provided to Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCOs). You will work with Subject Matter Experts, product architects, and product requirements to define low-level and software requirements. Conducting functional and technical analysis to shape system design is a key part of your role. You will produce detailed engineering artifacts, including Engineering Plans, System Element Descriptions, and Interface Design Documents. Additional responsibilities include preparing operational instructions and supporting materials, assisting with product concepts and software architecture, investigating operational problems, reviewing test artifacts, applying appropriate standards, and assisting with impact assessments for product releases or change requests.
