Requirements
Must:
- Knowledge of Linux
- Understanding of Networking to assess potential impacts on planned environment activities
- Knowledge of version and configuration control
- Familiarity with remote access via SRAM iTEC/NAS
- Understanding of ATC tactical/surveillance systems
- Experience with Service Now or a foundation in ITIL
- Knowledge of vSphere
Responsibilities
As part of our Environment team, I ensure the delivery of environments for testing purposes to support the programme plan for our end client, ensuring they are fit for purpose. My responsibilities include:
- Supporting the automation team by running automated Build Verification Tests (BVT)
- Scheduling environments for installs and managing changes to desk layouts that impact bookings
- Coordinating environment activities and processes for all environments supporting the Customer programme
- Facilitating daily environment schedule meetings to resolve conflicts based on technical limitations and programme priorities
- Participating in Daily Change Stand Up meetings to stay updated on current Network activities that may affect the schedule
- Checking data requirements with the data team to ensure compatibility with the latest builds
- Scheduling and executing both manual and automated BVT to verify all elements of the latest build
- Supporting validation and shadowing sessions with Air Traffic Control (ATC) while troubleshooting issues
- Producing Quality Test Reports (QLTRs) for BVTs and attending Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) prior to test phases
- Creating change requests to inform relevant teams of environment activities that may impact scheduling
