Requirements
Must:
- I hold a BS Degree and have relevant experience or industry knowledge with strong MS SQL Server database administration.
- I possess experience in SQL Server backup and recovery techniques.
- I have SQL programming experience and experience with relational databases.
- I am knowledgeable about database high availability, including replication.
- I have worked with AWS technology and am familiar with AWS database technologies, including SQL Server in RDS.
- I exhibit excellent English, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- I am proficient in scripting and process automation, preferably in PowerShell and Windows shell scripting.
Responsibilities
- I am responsible for all activities related to the administration of MS SQL Server databases.
- I project long-range requirements for database administration and design in collaboration with other managers in the information systems function.
- I design, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environment.
- I conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
- I advise users on access to various client/server databases.
- I design, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to SQL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, security, documentation, and statistical methods.
- I apply my knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end and back-end programming languages.
- I perform database programming and support systems design, including maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.
