Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Engineer on our team, I will rely on your expertise to support the development and transition of IT solutions for critical operational users. Your key functions will include: 1. Vulnerability Scanning & Reporting: - Perform regular vulnerability scans and generate reports, assisting the Vulnerability and Patch Manager. - Conduct regular code scans to audit for quality metrics, potential bugs, and security vulnerabilities. - Maintain the vulnerability management tooling to capture new vulnerabilities. 2. Endpoint Security: - Regularly update endpoint protection tools and conduct compliance checks on antivirus and anti-malware systems. - Audit network controls to prevent unauthorized access. - Ensure access controls are properly configured. 3. Incident Management & Tickets: - Identify and respond to incidents through alerts, logs, and user reports. - Mitigate damage from security breaches and restore normal operations. - Resolve ticket requests related to Cyber Security Engineering. 4. System Hardening: - Ensure security products are updated with regular patches. - Conduct compliance audits on systems against industry best practices. - Assist in the design and review of security enforcing functions. 5. Change Work: - Assist in evaluating the security posture of system changes. - Conduct Security Evaluation, Testing, and Assurance activities for planned changes. 6. Participation in Regular Meetings: - Lead or attend multiple meetings, including Security Working Groups and daily standups. 7. Documentation: - Maintain detailed documentation, including High-Level & Low-Level Designs, Standard Operating Procedures, and compliance reports.
