Requirements
Must:
- 8 years hands-on experience in developing and supporting business applications in an enterprise environment.
- Proven delivery of enterprise solutions.
- Strong knowledge and experience of supporting and maintaining a SQL database server environment and associated database management.
- Familiarity with client/server and web technologies.
- Experience in database administration.
- Technically proficient understanding of server infrastructure, networking infrastructure, and cyber security infrastructure.
- Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and skills.
- Degree in IT, computer science, or software development related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Take business requirements from conception to implementation utilizing the Uniface platform and the underlying SQL server infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve problems in a professional and timely manner, including providing 3rd line technical support.
Description
We are seeking an IT Software Engineer to join our small team based in Gravesend, Kent. Our work involves direct interaction with stakeholders and users, specifically focusing on the in-house Port Management system. We offer a Monday to Friday working week (35 hours), typically from 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm with flexible hours. This position comes with good benefits and the opportunity to gain training in Uniface for the right candidate with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
