Requirements
Must:
- I require proven experience in IT management or a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Hospitality IT support.
- I look for strong technical skills, particularly in network and data security, systems integration, and IT infrastructure management.
- Experience with resource scheduling, team management, and performance development is essential.
- I value excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with risk management and systems recovery planning is important, as well as strong vendor management skills and SLA monitoring.
- Candidates should have knowledge of industry standards and best practices for IT security, infrastructure, and compliance.
- An understanding of technical systems, including previous knowledge of Unifi networking, EPOS setup and installation, and Wi-Fi setups and troubleshooting is required.
- Extensive networking knowledge, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades, is necessary.
- An interest in gaming and an understanding of its infrastructure requirements are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our technical systems within our venues.
- You will manage and develop the Venue Technician and Systems Technician, providing Level 2 support to all Level 1 technicians as needed, and supporting the Head of IT during any absence.
- Coordinating team availability, resources, and workloads will be part of your duties, ensuring support coverage and effective allocation of IT resources.
- Open communication between the IT team and venue management will be your priority, ensuring alignment on IT operations and support needs.
- You will oversee the development and continuous improvement of IT systems, ensuring all updates, rollouts, and system changes are smoothly implemented.
- I will rely on you to align IT infrastructure with both current and future business requirements, supporting organizational growth and innovation.
- Implementing robust security measures for the network, data, and communication systems to protect against potential cyber threats is essential.
- You will assess IT risks, develop effective recovery and backup strategies, and design comprehensive systems policies and procedures.
- Managing the annual IT budget effectively to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation is expected.
- Building and managing relationships with external IT vendors, negotiating contracts, and monitoring service-level agreements will be part of your role.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of IT systems, processes, and policies while providing regular reports on IT performance, issues, and ongoing initiatives will be key responsibilities.
- Lastly, you will lead the IT support function, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved efficiently to minimize downtime and uphold service-level agreements.

Your place of work will be at Lane7 Manchester, with the option to work remotely when appropriate. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with travel to our Lane7 sites required for the role. Flexibility around working hours may also be necessary, which could include some overnight hotel stays to meet the needs of the business. You will work in a close-knit team in this broad and varied role.
