Sourcing Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist, I manage the buying process for a given set of goods and services. I apply sourcing policy and interface between suppliers and the entity concerning specifications and budgets. My duties include taking care of RFQs and contacting suppliers to obtain competitive quotations. I place and follow up on Purchase Orders (PO) and manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. I ensure timely delivery of required goods and services and monitor their status. I detect and signal flaws in approaches, methods, procedures, and processes, suggesting improvements where necessary. I handle contract negotiations and renovations and discuss terms with suppliers. I manage supplier relationships to understand the business better, gather market intelligence, assess risks, and ensure compliance with KPIs. Additionally, I handle communication with colleagues and the business regarding data gathering and analysis, manage problems and scheduling changes, and report on supplier performance and any non-conformity cases. I process and take care of supplier invoices and any required rectifications. I also understand the content of purchased items and prepare comparison tables to find the best value.
