Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with experience in security engineering, particularly with a focus on infrastructure. You should have hands-on exposure to tools such as Qualys, Rapid7, Sophos, or LogicMonitor. A solid knowledge of AWS cloud environments and infrastructure-level security controls is essential. You should also possess scripting ability to automate tasks or processes, but integration with development teams is not required. Comfort in operating as a solo security engineer while collaborating with multiple teams is important. Previous involvement in SIEM, threat hunting, or security design would be a plus.
Responsibilities
In this key role, you will conduct external scans to assess our public-facing infrastructure and proactively identify vulnerabilities. You will define and implement technical security controls that align with our governance policies. Supporting threat modeling and threat hunting initiatives within a largely AWS environment will be part of your duties. You will also contribute to the design and development of a new SIEM product and provide engineering input into our infrastructure and system design, ensuring that clear security requirements are set. Additionally, you may assist with incident response and forensics investigations as needed, working closely with our SOC and Governance teams to deliver integrated security improvements.
Description
This position offers remote work with occasional ad-hoc travel. The compensation is competitive, including a salary of £61,500 along with a car allowance, bonus, and benefits.
