Must:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in retail, hospitality, or consumer-facing technology leadership. You should have experience overseeing CRM and CDP programmes in a multi-site environment and demonstrated exposure to AI in operational or retail settings, such as vision technology, customer behaviour analysis, and inventory management. You must currently be operating at a Head of level, with experience in strategy, governance, and oversight beyond just delivery management. A strong background in supplier and vendor management, paired with large-scale digital transformation experience, is essential. Additionally, excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills are required.
Responsibilities
As the Head of Digital & AI, you will provide leadership and governance across a portfolio of digital and AI-enabled programmes. You will oversee the delivery of CRM, CDP, EPOS, digital signage, and order/pay solutions through a dedicated team of project managers. You will drive the adoption of AI use cases such as customer flow analysis, safety monitoring, stock management, and back-office operational AI tools, ensuring that these digital and AI initiatives are integrated into a cohesive customer experience strategy. Furthermore, you will manage third-party vendors and partners to ensure quality and value from external delivery. Acting as a senior technology leader, you will balance corporate credibility with pragmatic delivery oversight.
Description
We are a high-growth, Private Equity-backed retail and hospitality group currently undergoing a major period of digital transformation. This permanent position sits at the senior leadership level and offers you the opportunity to shape strategy, oversee delivery, and play a pivotal role in the organisation's transformation agenda, including our EV infrastructure rollout. We offer a competitive salary of £110,000 – £115,000, along with a car allowance and benefits. You will enjoy hybrid working, with two days per week in our Milton Keynes office, and you will have the chance to lead high-impact digital and AI transformation in a fast-growing, PE-backed business, with long-term career progression opportunities in a dynamic and innovative environment.
