Requirements

Must:
As an ideal candidate, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. You must have extensive experience in enterprise or domain architecture, specifically in global supply chain transformation programs. A strong understanding of core supply chain functions and digital platforms, such as SAP S/4HANA, Blue Yonder, Ariba, and Salesforce, is essential. You should demonstrate proven capability in enterprise integration, data architecture, and governance frameworks, along with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate strategic goals into technical outcomes. Exceptional communication skills are necessary to present complex concepts simply and visually. Additionally, strong collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring skills are required. Familiarity with architecture governance processes and tools, like LeanIX, Sparx, or Orbus, will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will act as a strategic interface between the business and IT, promoting alignment across decentralized technology landscapes. Engaging with stakeholders across functions will allow me to shape transformation roadmaps and anticipate necessary business and operating model changes, adjusting architecture strategies accordingly. I will monitor industry trends and disruptions and evaluate their impact on long-term strategic outcomes. My ability to translate architectural visions into compelling narratives will be crucial for driving executive alignment. I will support both project-centric and product-centric operating models while championing the value of enterprise architecture and continuously evolving its service offering. I aim to mentor architects, product managers, and business stakeholders in developing architectural thinking.

Description

I will be accountable for defining and maintaining a global target architecture and roadmap for supply chain capabilities. Architectural governance for large-scale programs, such as supply chain transformation and digital twin initiatives, will fall under my purview. Additionally, I will oversee solution architecture for core platforms like SAP S/4HANA, Blue Yonder, Ariba, as well as integration technologies such as Azure and Informatica. I will identify architectural debt and capability gaps, proposing and prioritizing remediation initiatives. Collaborating with product and domain teams will be essential to ensure architectural coherence across regions and platforms. I will also support technology evaluations and vendor selection processes aligned with enterprise standards, promoting reuse, simplification, and interoperability across the enterprise technology landscape. Key decisions will involve balancing global standardization with local flexibility within the supply chain ecosystem and selecting integration and platform strategies for streamlined process orchestration and data flow. Additionally, I will prioritize foundational architectural enablers versus near-term business functionality while planning legacy system decommissioning in alignment with business risk and technical readiness. Lastly, I will recommend build vs. buy strategies for emerging technologies such as AI for demand sensing and IoT in production. For those with a Master's degree or postgraduate certification (e.g., MBA, TOGAF, BCS), knowledge of digital technologies like AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain within supply chains will be beneficial. Experience in regulated industries such as FMCG, pharma, or tobacco, exposure to agile and product-centric delivery models, and a strong understanding of cloud and hybrid environments (preferably Azure) are also desirable. A deep understanding of multiple architecture domains, coupled with familiarity with formal architectural methods and modeling notations, will enhance your ability to lead architecture in large-scale transformation programs. Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills will be vital for success in this role.
