Requirements
Must:
1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
2. Experience designing architecture solutions that align with business goals.
3. Ability to manage and support technological change within complex organisations.
4. Deep understanding of contemporary data technologies and architecture patterns.
5. Strong background in data modelling, system design, and data integration.
6. Innovative and pragmatic mindset in bridging business needs and technical capabilities.
7. Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
8. Knowledge of data architecture frameworks including data mesh, data warehousing, BI, and cloud-based data platforms.
9. Experience working with cloud-native data solutions, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Azure, Fabric).
10. Strong alignment and facilitation skills, especially across siloed teams.
11. Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Responsibilities
1. Lead enterprise data design efforts and support data modelling while recommending best practices and tools to meet business and technical objectives.
2. Establish standards for modelling methodologies.
3. Provide architectural expertise for evaluating and recommending scalable data solutions, ensuring design patterns support both transactional performance and analytics needs.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document data requirements, evaluate technology options for strategic fit, and ensure successful implementation.
5. Work closely with engineering teams to align on data architecture and delivery.
6. Monitor emerging trends in data technologies, analytics, and architecture, testing and evaluating new tools and techniques that could benefit our data strategy.
7. Own and continuously develop enterprise data architecture principles, ensuring consistency with our broader enterprise architecture framework.
Description
We are an established organization seeking a delivery-focused Data Solutions Architect to provide architectural leadership and guidance in the development of enterprise data solutions. In this role, you will contribute to strategic data initiatives such as enterprise data lakes, governance platforms, and asset data programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture to ensure consistency and alignment across our data landscape.
