Must:
We are seeking a Cloud Security Architect with extensive experience in Azure. You should have previously worked within a global organization that had an immature cyber function, providing expertise as a Security Architect. You will need to have led security posture assessments across Azure cloud environments, effectively identifying and addressing key areas for improvement to enhance overall resilience. Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade security architectures and frameworks for complex, multi-entity organizations is essential. You should also have a proven track record of partnering with IT and business leadership to embed cloud security best practices into operations. In addition, familiarity with developing and institutionalizing security standards and training is important, as well as a focus on cultivating a security-first culture by upskilling teams on Azure-specific protocols and emerging threats.
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Security Architect, you will be responsible for assessing the current posture of Azure within our organization and proposing improvements. You will play a key role in implementing these enhancements. Your duties will include leading security assessments, designing security frameworks, partnering across various business units, and ensuring consistent policy enforcement. You will also take part in the development of security standards and training initiatives, helping to foster a culture that prioritizes security. Additionally, you will contribute to the establishment of a Security Operations Center (SOC) to improve our overall security posture.
Description
This position is offered on a contract basis with a day rate of £700, classified as outside IR35. The initial duration is for 6 months, and the role allows for fully remote work. We invite you to join our newly formed Cyber Transformation Programme and help us enhance our security capabilities within the Azure environment.
