Requirements
Must:
We require that you have active DV clearance. You should possess strong teamwork and collaboration skills and have experience with test methodologies. Additionally, you need to have a solid understanding of the following technical skills:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with tools like Terraform
- Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python and/or Java
- CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitPod, or Concourse CI
- Networking: Knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, and DNS
- Containers: Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Operating Systems: Basic Linux SysAdmin skills, such as RHCSA
- Databases/Analytics: Experience with MongoDB and/or Elastic
- Desirable: AWS Certified
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Implement and manage customer-requested integrations
- Embed security practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Monitor and log application and infrastructure health, troubleshooting and optimizing system performance based on key metrics
- Deploy updates, fixes, and perform regular maintenance
- Provide second-line technical support
- Build tools and automation to reduce errors and enhance customer experience
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors and implement long-term solutions
- Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Automate tasks, including visualization and reporting processes
- Design and implement troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
- Collaborate with teams for requirement gathering and documentation
- Foster automation, orchestration, and Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) best practices
- Promote a problem-solving mindset and a strong team-oriented approach
Description
We are looking for experienced DevOps engineers to join our team in Gloucestershire. The role is office-based and involves maintaining and supporting a highly critical service in collaboration with client operations and security teams to ensure that the service remains optimized for performance and compliance. The salary for this position ranges from £40k to £80k, depending on experience.
