Requirements
Must:
I am looking for someone with a solid grounding in network and system security, including experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM. You should have knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS, with practical application experience. Additionally, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and knowledge of how to secure them is essential. You should also have scripting or coding skills in languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash to enhance efficiency. Most importantly, I appreciate a natural curiosity for finding and closing loopholes in security.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be designing, building, and maintaining secure systems to keep cyber threats at bay. You will conduct regular security audits to identify weaknesses and address them proactively. Your day-to-day tasks will include working with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection tools to ensure comprehensive security. Collaboration is key, so you will work closely with developers, IT teams, and business users to ensure security measures are practical and effective. Additionally, you will stay ahead of emerging cyber threats by researching, testing, and implementing new security solutions.
