Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in Forgerock. You should have hands-on experience with PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, and PingDS while working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Experience in coaching and mentoring at the AVP or VP level is essential. Additionally, you should have solid hands-on coding skills in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript or Java. Open-source experience and contributions will be considered a plus.
Required primary skills include proficiency in the PingIdentity ForgeRock stack (PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, PingDS) with certification or proof of completion of ForgeRock Deep-Dive 4xx training modules. A strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) domains, tools, products, protocols, and taxonomy is also required. Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms, identity federation, single sign-on (OAuth2, OIDC, PKI), and knowledge and possession-based authentication, as well as JavaScript coding for PingGateway and PingAM scripted routes, proxies, and authentication tree nodes, is also beneficial.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design extensible IAM APIs for seamless integration with both external and internal applications. You will implement PingGateway single sign-on routes, dynamic proxies, and filter chains, as well as custom authentication trees in PingAM that involve downstream API integration with threat sensors (such as ThreatMetrix and BioCatch), adaptive authentication, and step-up authentication. Your responsibilities will include implementing PingIDM data links between PingDS and external LDAPS, JDBC, SOAP, HTTPS, and other data sources. You will also design and implement PingDS schemas with custom managed objects, ensure scalability and performance optimization of ForgeRock out-of-the-box and custom components, and partner with security, product, engineering, and compliance teams to embed identity-first principles into the DevSecOps lifecycle.
