Requirements
Must:
We are looking for talented Java Microservices Developers who have:
- Proficiency in Java and related technologies like Spring Boot.
- A strong understanding of microservices concepts, patterns, and principles.
- Experience with microservice frameworks such as Spring Cloud or other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with API design principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with agile methodologies, like Scrum or Kanban.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to propose proactive ideas.
Responsibilities
As a Java Microservices Developer, I will rely on you to:
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
- Maintain existing microservices, including bug fixes and performance improvements.
- Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for microservices deployment.
- Automate testing and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, following our coding standards and best practices for Java development.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.

This is a fantastic 6-month contract opportunity with a world-leading organization, available on a remote/hybrid basis with a max of 3 days per week onsite in Cardiff. The compensation ranges from £450 to £500 per day (via an umbrella company).
